Donal MacIntyre visits Hillingdon Manor School

AN INVESTIGATIVE journalist notorious for going undercover with football thugs took in far more friendly surroundings when he presented a school with a new bus.

Donal MacIntyre was chosen to present Hillingdon Manor School, in Harlington Road, Hillingdon, with their new 'Sunshine Bus' courtesy of DeVere Hotels.

As well as appearing on Dancing on Ice, MacIntyre also conducted a series of documentaries on learning disabilities.

Hillingdon Manor School is a now famous school specially set up for children with Autism and Asperger's Syndrome.

Anna Kennedy, director of the school, said: "The children were thrilled with the new bus.
"We had lots of people here at the presentation, and the children performed 'away in a manger' and 'all I want for Christmas is my two front teeth' which is a song they came up with themselves.

The new 17 seater coach will be used to transport children to and from all sorts of events, from Duke of Edinburgh trips, to visits to the gym and sports training sessions.

We'd like to hear from you.
